Hosting and technical logs

The website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. The host processes technical connection data such as IP address, time, requested address, browser information and errors for operation, security and abuse prevention. The basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in secure, reliable operation. Host logs follow the hosting contract's technical retention and deletion periods. They are separate from our own statistics below.

Contact, orders and invoices

For enquiries and orders we process names, email addresses, billing addresses and country, selected games, correspondence, amounts, payment references and information required to match transfers. This supports enquiries, contract performance, download delivery and support under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Legally required invoicing and accounting records are processed under Article 6(1)(c). Invoices are sent by email; this website does not automatically retrieve bank transactions or generate invoices.

We need the necessary order and contact details to match payments and deliver access. Recipients may include contracted hosting, email and IT providers, banks, tax advisers and legally authorised authorities where required. We do not sell customer data. Required order and accounting records are normally retained for seven years from the end of the relevant calendar year, or longer for ongoing proceedings. Other completed enquiries are normally deleted after six months unless another basis requires retention.

Email provider World4You

We use World4You Internet Services GmbH, Wolfgang-Pauli-Straße 2, BT3, 4020 Linz, Austria, for the gaming@lomegames.com mailbox. To receive, store and send our communications, the service processes email addresses, message contents, attachments and technical delivery and connection data. This includes enquiries, orders, invoices, tester applications and confirmations from legal representatives. Legal bases and retention periods follow the purposes described in this notice. Technical backups and logs additionally follow the mail service’s retention periods. More information: World4You privacy information. Tester applications and feedback

We use contact details, age information, game interests, technical information, bug reports and agreed voucher rewards to select and run testing under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For minors we additionally process their legal representative’s name, email contact, participation confirmation and agreed testing terms. We use the representative’s contact details and confirmation to verify and document their authority and safely coordinate participation under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. We limit information to what is necessary; the confirmation is normally deleted with the participation records unless retention duties or outstanding claims apply. Do not send identity documents or unnecessary private information. Rejected or withdrawn applications are normally deleted after six months. Personal test feedback is deleted or anonymised within twelve months after cooperation ends unless retention duties or outstanding claims apply. Publishing a name or testimonial requires separate, withdrawable consent under Article 6(1)(a).

Protected access and security

The tester area and statistics administration use separate necessary session cookies, LOME_TESTER and LOME_STATS, for authentication and access control, not advertising. The basis is Article 6(1)(f), and additionally (b) for agreed tester access. Statistics sessions expire after 30 minutes of inactivity or eight hours in total. Failed login counts use a server-hashed network attribute for time-limited abuse prevention; expired entries are removed on the next corresponding request. Passwords are not stored as plaintext.

Optional website statistics

Only after your consent do we count page views, cover clicks, opening an order or application email and selected games. Data consists of known page paths without query parameters, page language, broad window-size class and broad source category such as Google or social media. Processing stays on our webspace. Statistics contain no visitor identifiers, full referrers, search terms, IP addresses or email addresses and do not build individual profiles. The basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Your choice is stored locally as lome-stats-consent-v1 for up to 180 days. Change or withdraw it at any time using “Statistics preferences” in the footer. Declining does not restrict website features. Withdrawal applies to future counting; existing aggregate counts cannot be assigned to an individual. Authorised tester download starts are counted by game and day without user identifiers for operational monitoring under Article 6(1)(f). A start is not evidence of a completed download. Daily counts are retained for up to 397 days and cleared on the next statistics access.

Appearance and external services

Your chosen colour theme is stored locally as lome-theme until changed or browser data is cleared. There are no advertising trackers and our statistics are not sent to Google Analytics. External links and mailto links open their services when you use them; your email provider's own processing also applies.

Your rights

Subject to the GDPR, you have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons concerning your particular situation and withdraw consent for future processing at any time. Contact gaming@lomegames.com. You may complain to a supervisory authority, including the Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna. There is no automated decision-making producing legal or similarly significant effects.
